Parents: Unknown (we don't believe Berner and Cookies Fam created the strain, but they claim it's Florida OG x (F1 x Durb))
Spectrum: Indica-leaning Hybrid
Family: Sweet Kush
About: Girl Scout Cookies is one of the most renown strains in cannabis, and is one of the building blocks of many modern strains. One of the tastiest strains around, combining sweet cookie notes to a delectable Kush background. Her origins are a matter of debate and controversy, and we have found Berners origin story of GSC to be difficult to believe. Coupled with business practices we find questionable, we believe it is more likely that Berner and his team acquired the strain as a clone and rebranded it as their own breeding project.
Grow Characteristics: She tends to be slightly shorter than medium in height. We have found her to have an elevated sensitivity to light and nutrients compared to most modern genetics. We have only grown her in our organic system, which may not be tapering off nutrients near the end as much as she'd like, which results in a longer cure time to purge out the harshness. In salts, I would make sure she has a good flush at the end. While she is a 10/10 in flavor, and bag appeal, she has incredibly low yields. We acquired her because we love the strain, and we know she has a lot to offer in breeding. While she won't become a staple in our breeding program, she will certainly supplement it well.
